The Internet of Everything (IoE) sounds like a fantastic idea, but the other side of this innovation needs to be considered. This is a 2 way street.

While it is true that the IoE would give us more control by allowing us to interface with the objects in our lives, it is also true that this will create more pathways for those outside our homes who may wish to exercise power over us.
