This Comic Fundraising Letter Would Work on Me...

I do something a bit similar when I get approached by fundraisers I don't mind helping.

When kids come by and try to sell me a $10 cheesecake or something to raise money for camp, I ask them how much profit the product will contribute to their goal.

Often it is just $2 dollars or so.

"Look, " I say; "I don't want a cheesecake, but I do want to help you. Here $2 for your camp fund. This is for you personally. I hope you have fun at camp."

Their eyes get big and they usually say "Oh Wow!" and leave very happy.

They get their money. I save $8. I don't have to get fat eating that cheesecake. It probably tastes nasty anyway.

Win, win, win and win.
