Opposites not only attract, they often compliment each other.
Physical health shows this to be true. Muscles are made sore now so they won't get so sore in the future. We get out of breath on treadmills today to improve future aerobic capacity.
What is true about physical health is also true about financial health.
Sometimes we have less because we give less.
We need to exercise our generosity in God's Health Club, the church. Building that body is more important than building our own. But when we do sacrifice to build the body of Christ, we also receive blessings and are built up.
Jesus is believed when He speaks about salvation, mercy and grace. Why not believe him when he speaks about giving? I think we should.
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6:8
Very wise advice.
