In Baseball, you are in trouble if you try to reach home without touching third. In many churches, church members go home without ever touching third: The third verse of their hymns, that is.
I have noticed that third verses are skipped over a lot to get through the hymns more quickly.
Maybe we should have a night when we just sing those third verses to see what we've been missing.
