Why 7-11's are never robbed in Israel

I lived in Los Angeles, where robberies occurred on a daily and nightly basis. I applied once for a 7-11 job and the manager began the training with, "When you get robbed..." I noticed that he didn't say "If you get robbed." 

In the same city we had many Winchell Donut stores. They had a policy of giving donuts free to policemen. Consequently, the sight of a police car or two in a Winchells parking lots became a very common sight. It became a saying, "If you need a policeman, call Winchells." We mocked the police and their donuts. But do you know what? Nobody ever robbed a Winchells store. 

Lesson learned: Good guys with guns prevent bad guys with guns from doing bad things.
