Does A Winning Team Mean that You Are a Winner?

It used to mean something to me, when our local teams won. I felt that somehow it showed that the people of my city and state were better than others,

But then I noticed that the talent on our teams came from other regions of the country and their talent was in no way indicative of the talent of my region.

So, although I enjoy seeing a game played well, it is hard for me to feel that I am in someway better because my team won.
